What are some good soccer drills and etc?
I want to make a soccer team but you have to tryout. Can you tell me some soccer drills and other fitness stuff to work on. And also what do coaches look for while you tryout???
you need to juggle the ball. you need to increase your stamina. you can do that by running a mile or two everyday, but make sure you stretch first. try dribbling up and down a field while running then jogging and walking and just change direction every now and then. if you have cones you can set them up in a line at a reasonable distance so that you can dribble around them like a car goes through a slalom. do a couple of sprints up and down the field and then rest. it helps to do two sessions. one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
coaches look for leaders and people who encourage other teammates. for some reason they love the fact that people can juggle the ball, even though there is no practical use of that in a game…they like speed, but they like stamina more. play to your strengths if you aren’t very good at a position you like, try to play the other. you might end up liking it, and you might end up playing a in a different position anyway.
